You'll be Supervising one Payroll Officer and running multiple Payrolls from start to finish using ADPfreedom, which includes processing starters and leavers, calculating statutory allowances and dealing with Tax & NI deductions.
On the Finance side you'll be producing Payroll Journals, reconciling PAYE and Pensions and producing ad-hoc reports.
You'll also deal with employee Pay queries and liaising with third parties including HMRC and Pensions providers.
Over the next 6 months there are likely to be some changes to the way the Payroll is managed so there's a good chance of being involved in some project work.
The ideal candidate for this role will have at least 5 years' experience in start to finish Payroll processing and working knowledge of ADPfreedom. They'll also be accustomed to producing Payroll Journals and reconciling the Payroll Accounts.
You must have an in-depth understanding of current Payroll legislation including RTI, Auto Enrolment and Statutory allowances. Strong Excel skills are also essential, with functions such as Vlookups important in this role.
As well as this, you must have excellent written and spoken communication skills and be comfortable supervising a junior member of staff.
